Favorite Dutch beach locations

This year I’ve been at a few Dutch beaches and seasides. In this post I’ll share my favorite ones and their locations!

Domburg, Zeeland

The beach at Domburg is magical! With its soft, golden sand and those cool wooden poles stretching into the sea, it’s the perfect spot to chill out or take a long stroll. There’s always a fresh breeze, and the sunsets here are unreal. Whether you’re catching waves, soaking up the sun, or just enjoying the view, Domburg’s beach has a laid-back charm you’ll love.

Parnassia / Kattendel, North Holland

Such a serene sunset. Lots of clouds but the colors and the reflections make a beautiful composition. Also, the nearby dunes are quite beautiful in the right light!

Petten, North Holland

Palendorp Petten is a magical spot on the Dutch coast, where tall wooden poles rise from the beach like a forest in the sand. Built to honor the village’s resilience against the sea, these poles create a striking view, especially at sunset when the light plays between them. It’s a peaceful place perfect for dreamy seaside walks and capturing unique photos.

Egmond aan Zee, North Holland

Egmond aan Zee beach is a chill spot on the Dutch coast, with wide sandy stretches and a cool lighthouse watching over it all. It’s perfect for lazy beach days, dipping your toes in the sea, or wandering through the dunes. The beach has a relaxed vibe, with cozy cafes nearby and sunsets that make you stop and stare. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s a great place to kick back and soak up the beachy goodness.
